Recording gang vocals (pics/clip inside)

My latest song, FATHER TO SON, took another step towards completion last night as I tracked the trade off solos with the other guitar player (which we tracked live with no editing, just looped the background and let it fly until we had a good enough take) as well as the gang vocal section.

For the gang vox I set up two SM58s; the four of us gathered round one of them and the other was used to pick up the room sound at about 11 feet distant. The raw tracks sound pretty promising, should sound very cool in its final state.

Definitely, but it's no secret!

Gang vox need a certain vocal quality. Quickest way there is a couple shots of whiskey!
