Brow,

Let me see if I got this. You plug your guitar into the POD? You plug the POD into the M-AUDIO? Then you plug the M-AUDIO into the computer by way of USB port? Then you use what ever recording software you like.

This is pretty much how it forks for me, except that I mic an amp into the M-Audio, not a POD.

I'm having a few problems with software myself at the minute as I'm moving over from Adobe Audition to Logic of Cubase SX-3 and trying to work the bugs out :)

I'm glad to hear you got it all up and running :)

Re: recording on pc

My setup at the moment is pretty simple, but real easy to set up and gets decent results.

I mic up my amp into a TASCAM Portastudio 4 track, then go from there into the line in on my PC. From here I record in Cool Edit (I thought I was the only one!) and import drums from another program. (I have even miked up a kit and recorded into my PC using this setup too)

I canot stress how much better it is with the Portastudio in there. You have so much more control as you dont have to stuff around with your computer audio levels. You could pick something similar for pretty damn cheap second hand if you looked and it would be worth it for sure.

This by no means a replacement for studio time :P but you can get something suitable for a demo at least!
