OK guys, best inexpensive way to record stuff to my computer from my guitar, so that i can put it online and send it to friends.

Guitar port? PODS?

I dont know much about them, so whats the good and bad? It doesnt need to do a bazillion things, but it needs to be reliable, easy, fairly inexpensive and have a few amp models ect...

Cheers guys

Re: Recording to pc..

It all depends whether you want modeling or not. I've heard some sickeningly amazing clips done with Line 6 stuff.

I use a Shure SM57 mic (~$75) and a Tascam US-122 USB mixer (~$150) myself with good results. It's a cheap way of getting your good sounding tube amps to get put on PC pretty accurately. It's not going to be as good as somebody with Pro Tools or anyone with a home studio, but it works without a huge tonal sacrifice.
