Recreating the BC Rich Gunslinger "Slimer" as a Warmoth guitar

The guitar I'm talking about is this:

Here's two videos:

Interestingly the guitar in the two videos is not the same. In the first the PU is mounted direct, in the second via a mounting ring.

Edit: Apparently he put a CC in it and mounted it direct.

I really dig the vintage-modern 80s shredder early thrash vibe of this guitar. The body is basswood. I'd go with a Soloist body. I don't know the radius BC Rich used on this neck but I'm inclined to go with 14" and extra jumbo SS frets (6100) instead of jumbo nickel frets. It's a personal choice that doesn't alter the look of the guitar. It's a cheap guitar in its original incarnation. I want a nicer version of it. I don't think it has a original Floyd. I'm gonna use one, recessed of course. The PU is a Duncan Designed one but I don't know which. I'd like to go with a DD for 80s thrash and have it direct mounted at an angle as in the first vid. I don't know if Warmoth has an option to have the headstock finished in black. Which neck type resembles the BC Rich headstock the most?

I had one of those and it played ok for what it was, but I was traded it off for something else. They did come with a 14" radius like you thought, and also a Floyd Rose Special...

I don't think there are any headstock that would pull off a BcRich pointy headstock very well. You can check eBay for a real BCRich neck, in fact I think there were a couple USA necks last I checked, but they won't be a 14" radius, more like a 10-12" I'd say.

There's also rumors that for this year or next, that BCRich will be introducing a "made in USA" line of guitars in the $1500 range, so if things don't work out with your build you can check into getting a real one.
I'm always down for building my own because I've yet to buy a guitar off the shelf that I didn't have to change a bunch of stuff to make it how I want.

I have to say that I love the color of that guitar. But that's just about the only thing...the maple neck with black headstock looks absolutely atrocious on it.

It would be nice to have a guitar with a Floyd type just for the heck of it, but I'm not going to enter. I've got too many much nicer guitars already

Love anything slime green with a slanted hum and maple...hope this works out for you!

I think you might have better luck finding that exact guitar. I think if you build it via Warmoth, it will be much more expensive (and vastly improved). You might be able to order their paddle headstock and make it the shape you want, though.

Nice looking guitar and the colour sure looks funky.
