RedBear amps

Are these rare? Are they closer to a Marshall or Fender in sound? Any info is appreciated.

They are not very common but im not sure rare is the word I woudl use either. They are really not like a Fender or a Marshall...they are p[retty high gainamps but theyuse an odd ball tube in the preamp that is very hard to come by and very costly when you find one (at least they used to be several years ago). You can have them modded to run a 12ax7 but s lot of guys say it kills the tone they have...

I used to have a Sovtek Mig 60 that I now regret selling. I'm looking to buy a cheap Marshall clone and when I heard about the RedBear I thought it would be the same thing as the Sovteks. Man, if I could only replace that ol' Sovtek.

I own a 4x12 Red Bear cabinet. Not exactly rare but not common either. I've never tried the amps, but my understanding is that they are similar to a JMP800. There is a Red Bear forum out there somewhere, try a google search.
