reeves amps branching out into marshall territory

Re: reeves amps branching out into marshall territory

Nice
I am sure quality is great

While its a limited clip, and you haev to take clips with a grain of salt or a little sugar (they can be better or worse than you expect the real thing to be).

...but crazy idea here- why not just get a Marshall or a Bogner? They nail that tone better than those clips.

Of course, if you wanna support great build and a nice, smaller company - that's another story

I've never seen one in a store, and checked the site. They sell only direct, and offer a 10 day return. I like when companies do that, because then you aren't dealing with dealer markup.

Awesome amps....basically a brand new Hiwatt, made like the old ones, and built by the same guy....I think.

Reeves is a Hiwatt....

Yep....Dave Reeves....Most popular amps(Hiwatt)made for David Gilmour and Pete Townsend in the 70s....Others used them but these 2 were the early Hiwatt guys...Jimmy Page dabbled with em also.

Ya , a guy i know is in a band sponcered by Hiwatt UK.... He told me the Reeves are made by Hiwatt UK. They are the exact same amps from the UK factory with a Reeves sign on the front of them... Until just a year ago Hiwatt's made in the UK were different then the USA based company... Reeves was selling the UK versions with the Reeves name. That being said i'd love a Pete Townshend model CP103!!!!!

The new Marshall like model looks tasty too!
