Refinish on SR500

So the finish on the Ibanez SR500 is notoriously thin
The first gig always gars the up badly
So I was gonna add a coat of tung oil whilst I was doing my Tele




The strings popped off easy
Just pulled the knobs and backplate
And taped the bridge and pickups

Plan on buffing between coats

winding it up now
three coats have covered all the bare spots
and added a nice glossy sheen

I'll be stringing it back up tomorrow

Between naked and armored I choose naked.

naked flakes off rapidly

I want something more durable
