Refinishing question. (JohnJohn, Zerb, Blue Calx)

Its about time I refinished the 'ole Patriot. It still has the word "Liberty" scratched into the back from when I bought it. :blackeye:

I know there's no paint in the neck pocket. Is this just a simple matter of applying some masking tape in there til I get it all sprayed and sanded?

Also, on a lighter note, I was motivated to start this somewhat by the new Jack Daniels Peavey's that they're coming out with. I was thinking about maybe doing a "poor-mans" version of one of those - but not using JD. (Since I don't drink it.)

Just wondering if anyone had any interesting ideas of a theme I might try, but still keeping it tasteful and simple?

Thanks all.

Correct, simply mask the inside of the pocket :)

Thats an interesting idea, John, but probably beyond my skill level. How would you go about something like that? Like with an airbrush, or decal maybe?
