If you are wondering why I chose a chilly blue font, it's because you young whippersnappers are are always quick on the draw. You post things, prematurely, if you know what I mean.

Life happens. Deliveries get list, the bill man comes around, and then you cancel it, or it gets lost, or you get the ever possible "New Guitar Letdown" syndrome.

Then you never post the pics before you decide it sucks and send it back. This is referred to as Icemanning. Or having Icemanned us.


Thank you for your consideration. So please try and hold of. Stay calm, and relax. Wait to "shoot" until the moment is right. (This advice applies to firearms, women, and lots of things…) Then post those those pics!

May as well start posting pics of only the stuff you wish you had.

Why can't you wait until it's in-hand? I'm sure no one here really cares that you're waiting on something you just-now ordered. If it's a custom piece that's going to take 2 months to 2 years, tell me why I should care that you're waiting for it. I'm not waiting for it, you are, so what makes you think I care? I'm not such a simpleton that I live vicariously through you and your gear purchases. It's like all those "unboxing" videos on YouTube: what's the point? "Watch me take this out of the box so you can pretend it's you taking it out of the box"? Seriously?

The other one I'd say to stop doing is the "New (to me) Item Day" abbreviations - NtmAD, N(U)GD, etc. It's NAD, NGD, NBD, NPD. You don't have to include that it's used in the abbreviation. If someone gets butthurt that you posted New Amp Day and then finds out you didn't pay new retail but rather bought a used amp, then let them stew in their butthurt.
