Reinhardt 18 Head Review

After 2 plus weeks, 4 gigs, a few recordings and just general jamming, I have come to the conclusion
that this is a professional amplifier of the highest order. Dead serious, no lie. It's the 18 watt head and
it is way loud enough for any club size up to 200 capacity without being mic'ed up. The chords sound so nice,
even when heavy pick attack, it retains a beautiful clarity even on the low end.

The clean channel is punchy and full but never harsh. It is an EL-84 amp with 12AX7 preamp tubes.
4 inputs that can be jumped across the channels for added depth and punch.
The bright or gain channel is where this amp shines. If you play Classic Rock/Southern Rock, this is your amp, period.
Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ TOP tone dead on, nailed. And the amp can get into heavier territory for AC/DC
and Judas Priest tones also. My band does newer material also and sounded great on "Kryptonite", "She Hates",
and the Nickelback stuff we do.

For Country music tones this amp pulls it off wonderfully. With my Tele I was doing Merle Haggard stuff
and Luther Perkins licks with a killer tone. New Country stuff comes out great with this amp.
Pedal steel tones with volume swells excel with this amp. Alot can be done with the treble,
mid and bass controls to get the tones you want for sure.

On the clean channel I ran my Ibanez acoustic that Fishman electronics through the amp and it was
the best amped acoustic sound I have ever got. The clarity of the individual strings in way cool with the 18.

I gig for a living in a cover band and I don't have money to burn through on gear.
I need a great amp that is well built and is versatile for a variety of material.
I am not blowing smoke up anybody's tail pipe, The Reinhardt 18 delivers the goods.

I have a couple clips recorded for a small smaple of what the amp does.

Here's the website to check out the amps.

P.S... I am not spamming, I am letting people know this is a great amp to check out.

Very cool! :beerchug:

I've got a 20w monster (different brand) that rocks it out too. Goes to show you don't need a 100w full stack:bigok:

I'll keep an eye out for them, if they distribute any to Los Angeles.
I really like the tolex job they did on these 2. What are the prices like?

Thanks for the review, as I have been considering checking out an 18 watter to do that "Marshall" kinda thing. One question if I may? While some EL84 equipt amps seem to have decent treble they seem to lack an overall presence. Any problems along those lines?

Imagine this one with green on the other end(Actually, orange/white/green)....like the Irish flag. I thought that wood be a cool design for one of Scott's Celtic amps!!!:bigok:

That would look amazing with a matching cab!!!!!!

The 18 has a beautiful "airy" quality to the sound. Crisp and sweet. I hear no dull tones even with the Mid turned all the way down or up. The amp gives a nice full bass tone too. The 18 is $1500 and for what is does and how it sounds it is worth it. The wiring is really clean and the build quality is great.
