Relic'ing a Jay Turser SG copy

I picked up a Turser SG in vintage white a while back for ridiculously cheap (read ~80 bucks). It actually sounds not too bad and stays in tune really well. That being said, i still dont play it very often since i have other guitars.

SO...ive decided to relic it in the most extreme way i can think of that wont break it. Im taking some ideas.

Right now im considering literally stripping all the hardware and electronics off and setting it on fire, lol.

What would you guys suggest? The end product doesnt necessarily have to look like a real relic (obviously since im thinking about setting it alight).

Large plastic recycling box.

Fill bottom with small round stone (gravel or so).

Put guitar in upside of body down.

Put into your car.

Drive around like that for a couple months. Make sure lots of sunshine hit it.

Keeping guitars in hot cars will heat the glue, and the body & neck will fall apart. Not the best plan of action if you ever want to play it again.

Don't understand why anyone would want to tear up & burn a guitar. Must be a redneck thing. Do you live in a trailer park by any chance?

If I had a white guitar that I didn't care too much about, I'd paint something on it, or maybe get someone who is actually a good painter to paint something on it.

FWIW tom morello burned the face of a les paul off with a lighter once. it's got this awesome crazy quilted look now because of the size of the lighter's flame.

A Turser is definitely not made with hide glue.

But yes the heat might do unhealthy things

Well... You could always start by putting on your belt a **** huge buckle than scratch the back of your guitar with it (when you're standing up).

You could always drop it once or twice :scratchch

Instead of trying to ruin the finish, why not paint something neat on it, or do some decopage? Create, don't destroy; love not war. Channel your energy into something postive.
