REM EBow Question

I'm working on the REM Whats the Frequency Kenneth Ebow solo but I'm a little confused. The ebow can only vibrate one string at a time and I can't figure out how to play the entire thing on one string. I know I could switch strings but the ebow doesn't vibrate the string soon enough.
