I wonder if mine would look that way if I did the same thing? It has a black-amber burst right now.
I don't know that anyone's asking, but I can't say enough about the improvements in sound and feel, in this guitar. The neck is smooth as butter. The whole thing is significantly lighter. It's hugely more resonant. The tone has taken on a complexity and dimensionality that I thought was beyond it, frankly. The whole guitar is now really nice to touch. I love playing it; it's the best-sounding guitar I own.

Does the body have binding ? If so you can forget about useing paint
stripper .Any stripper strong enuff to to breakup that poly Finish will
melt the binding. If not, Try a aircraft grade paint stripper. Be sure
to be in a well ventalated area, That stuff is nasty!! Some Poly finishes
I've encontered the paint stripper had no effect on it. :saeek: So I
had no other option But Sanding :yell:
