Replace Inector neck with Area 58?

Hey guys, thanks in advance for your advice.

I have a strat with the Paul Gilbert pickup set, injector 67 injector. I like it a lot, but the neck's cleans are not quite sparkly enough and I also don't get that stratty blues tone so much out of it. I can maybe live with what I have, but wonder if you recommend a switch to a 58. Youtube videos sound pretty good to me.

I'm also seeing people saying 67 is better than the 58 in the neck. If that's the case maybe I should wire up the 67 I already have in the neck just to see. Do you think it's better than the 58?

Thanks!

Depends if you want the neck position to be really bright like Hendrix, then get the Area 67. If you want more of a blues tone, the 58 is the one. Either will be a big change from the Injector.
These work best with stock 250k pots IMO, so you should probably check what you have in the guitar.

Personally I have only used the Area 58, Area 61, Pro 54, and the Injector Bridge pickups in that series. The Area 58 has nice cleans, but IMO the tone its more like a fat 50s or thicker.
If you want really sparkling clean tone like a vintage pickup you probably want the area 67. I think you should swap your middle 67 into the neck position to try it out.

Also consider moving the Injector Neck pickup into the bridge slot, as that's going to be a better match with the 67s.

Since you already have a 67, I'd try that first, then if you decide you want a fatter tone go with a 58
