Replacement Bridge Pup on new LP-Confused by choices

Re: Replacement Bridge Pup on new LP-Confused by choices

Out of curiosity where is the best place to buy magnets for a humbucker?

Try the Custom. I don't think Seymour makes a finer Les Paul hard rock pickup.

So you recommend the trembucker over the hum bucker for the Duncan Custom? My spacing is 49mm which is just about on the line but leaning toward humbucker…I thought.

Measure it. New guitars are just about always wider spaced.

I just remeasured it and from the middle of the 6th to the middle of the 1st string is exactly 49mm.

@SFW - I am starting to agree from what I have heard. A lot of strong endorsements. I am going to go with the Duncan Custom. It seems like a good fit for me. Additionally it's supposed to help drop tunings not turn to mush. I don't go past drop D usually and with the entire guitar tuned down a half step as well...so C# I guess.

Thanks for the info Aceman!

Anyone know if Seymour Duncan Cream matches Gibson's cream or should I just go all black. That's what I would have done to begin with. I think it would look better in all black. Don't know if I will ever replace the neck pup or not. Try and match or go black

That's easy. Custom/Distortion hybrid :firedevil

I want another one :smokin:

Wouldn't that just be a Custom/JB hybrid with a double thick ceramic? Which by the way, I am seriously considering in trying in my Schecter Blackjack that I have tuned to D.
