Vintage 30's can have too much treble and not enough bass.

true, they are the JB of Celestion speakers. There is this 'honk' on the mid high that can be a bit annoyng with some cabs, but I would not tell they have not enough bass, a thing I'd say for the Greenback instead, that is a knife, it works good in closed cabs only to my ears

For a beginner or novice, someone who owns an import single pickup Epi as his main guitar and a Blackstar as his main amp, and who appears to be a beginner from the language and descriptions he uses, the sounds in your head are usually the sounds of your favorite guitarists.

They certainly were for me 50 years ago when I was a beginning guitarist.

Possibly, but not everyone is like that. I know plenty of guitarists that have what they have because it was cheap and available, and want to play many types of music without the detour of tone cloning.

Everyone has a mentor or hero. Especially in the beginning. It's normal.

Miles Davis had Joe Oliver.

Clapton had BB, Albert and Freddie.

EVH had Eric Clapton.

It's normal.

Possibly. I had heroes too, but when it came to gear, I went down my own road. No one ever cares about the 2nd person to play like Peter Green. But, I would never label myself as normal, though.

. No one would ever mistake me for Peter Green. An identity problem or a lack of my own style has never been an issue.
