replacement speakers

I am looking to change my speakers out in my amp. I currently am using a 2x12 randall with celestion seventy 80s that came stock in it. Has anyone here ever used the celestion vintage 30s? I am looking at a set of them or maybe some of the new eminence redcoats or patriot series. Does changing the speakers make much of a difference with your overall sound? I used to thinks that pickups were pickups and was wrong about that so any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

what style music do you play? What power tubes are in this amp? Any?

Some speakers will fine tune the sound, some major changes. What do you not like about the current ones?

Are you looking for a brittish or american flavor?

Big time Guns fan. thats why I was wondering about the 30s. Just ordered some alnico 2s from Lew. The amp is a solid state 100w. The current speakers just don't have THAT sound. A bit too noisy maybe, hard for me to explain really. As for the eminence I have a C.D. rom with sound clips and really like the Brit feel that they have going for them.
