Replacing Old Caps?

I'm working on a old Boss CH-1 and the Brian Wampler mod sheet says to replace some of the 1uf caps with a metal film cap of the same value to lower the noise floor.

My question is, is it more important to replace them specifically with metal film, or just get the old ones out? I don't know what types they have in their as is.

I'd say if there is no trouble yet I wouldn't touch it.

White noise from just a capacitor that is still intact would be unusual.

The electrolyte caps have a good life of 10 years plus within their specs. I read that there are four threads: wear out, no frequent use, high humidity and storage in hot places. Film types don't have that problem.
If you substitute them out with new electrolytes, you give the pedal another good 10 years.
