Resonator comparison clips

Yesterday I realized that for a short period of time I would have access to three different resonator guitars. I won't be in this position for long so I've decided to record a few clips to compare their different tonal qualities. So here I present clips of a duolian, a style o and a triplate (none of which are mine).

Recorded with a cheap computer mic.

My personal favorite is the duolian, but that's probably because it's my dad's and it's also what I started out on.

Thanks

I like the duolian because it has a more raw and raunchy kind of grind to it. The other two are a little more refined.

Re: Resonator comparison clips

I'm not above bumping. More people need to hear the differences between resonators.

To help this process, here are some pictures of similar guitars to the ones I used.

Great clips; very useful. I've never played a triolian so it's cool to hear it. It sounds more mellow than the other two. I agree that the duolian is my favourite, though I like them all.
