Reunion axe

So back in 2002 when the classis series strats came out I ordered a brand new 70s RI strat.
Black with maple neck. I ordered it to replicate my fathers original 70s strat that he played to death. Unfortunatly befor his passing it was stolen while he was in the hospital.
Anyways when I got mine I actually unboxed it on the sales floor of my local store after waiting weeks.
I remember at a point removing the pickguard and bridge and having my stepfather free hand route it out for a HB on my mothers kitchen table while I held it by the neck lmao
This was the axe I took on a club tour in 2004 its been 1/2 way cross country with me.
After coming home from that I gigged it a ton then for god knows what reason I sold it to a freinds brother in 2005 who I lost touch with. I allways kinda missed that axe.
2 weeks ago I got a freind request on assbook from him. Then my other freind I talk to often tells me he has your old axe he got it from his brother.
So I ask him if hed want to sell it. Hes Like i dont care got any trades?? I sent a pic of my cherry burst partscaster with JB in bridge. Hes like sure.
So we just gotta setup a time and the old girl will be coming back home.
The knobs have been changed and the 70s Super D is gone but there she was in the pic he sent.

So I got it back. Its been pretty neglected over the years.
So I clipped the strings and popped off the pickguard. Had miss matched knobs. The original harness had been replaced with a cheap looks like Amazon harness. The medical tubing had rotted so one pup was bouncing up and down. And the frets were rough with corrosion.
Anyways I steel wooled the frets shiny and removed the poly skin off the fingerboard. I got out the polishing compound and hand buffed out the huge wear spot over the bridge were I used to wear braclets on stage.
Then I ordered a new Pickguard and plastics, CTS 250K pots and CRL switch.....and( oh yea baby)a Callaham Vintage S tremolo system with Gilmour arm( that will live in the case)....cause the graphtech saddles I put on it years ago are hideous and the bridge has major rust from sweat.
She oughta be nicer than ever soon.

callaham makes really nice stuff! look forward to seeing it once its all back together

Yea Ill post pics. When the stuff gets here and I assemble it.
What sold me on buying the Trem was the stamped saddles are thread all the way down the backside of the curle and the plate design adds more contact area at the fulcrum area.
I was just gonna put fender saddles and a allparts steel block.
