Reverb pedal recommendation

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

Line6 Verbzilla
Boss RV-3

I have both and they go together like peanut butter and jelly!

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

I kind of want to try an RV-2 and RV-3 for more "effected" reverb sounds. The guys from Isis use them over more modern pedals.

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

I'm a fan of the Holy Grail +. Versatile and built like a tank. Just ignore the ''flerb'' effect.

Did I say Holier Grail? Sorry - meant Holy Grail Plus! And yes - ignore the flerb.

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

I've tried the Verrbzilla and thought it was pretty good. If I need a reverb pedal though, I go to my old Peavey Reverb, I think it is the SDR-16. Sixteen modes of digital reverb. Needs it's own power supply, but that about the only semi-bad thing I can say about it.

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

I have an Electro Harmonix Holier Grail and a Line 6 Verbzilla and prefer the Line 6 for everything except the spring reverb (which I never use).

I'd like to give the Digitech Hardwire RV-7 a spin.

The Ducking Reverb on the Line6 Verbzilla is the bee's knees! I originally got the pedal thinking I'd use it every and then, but it's just one of those things that sounds so GREAT I want to leave it on all the time!

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

I'm not a big fan of reverb. I'd rather use a slapback echo. Reverb sounds muddy to me.

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

I have a TC Electronics Nova Reverb and I like it alot. I don't like reverb all the time, but every now and then, I really go for atmospheric tones and the Nova provides a lot of options for tweaking what kind and how much reverb you want.

Re: Reverb pedal recommendation

As Moose points out, the Boss FRV-1 is really sweet.
The old Hardwire Rev is also a very nice unit.
If you do not mind using a real 19" unit, and a blend box that is also a cool combination.
