Hi my son has a ibanez mtm2 with reverse headstock. During school rehearsals it has been knocked and one of the tuning peg now needs replacing. Struggling to find a new peg can anyone help please.. Thanks from a confused mom [emoji15]

Re: Reverse headstock help

Oh hello mum.

You will need a left handed machine head as the headstock is reverse. Not sure about finding an exact ibanez one but you could look on ebay for a used one or contact the dealer?

Looking at pics online it seems the mtm has no screw that holds them down. Not sure the exact type those ibanez have so it might be best posting a pic.

Also are you guys sure it can't be easily fixed?

Chances are, it's just bent. It can probably be straightened. I've never heard of nor experienced any other type of damage to a tuning machine.

Re: Reverse headstock help

its easy enough to find a whole set but that will obviously cost more. you might be able to find a single one at a local shop (bring the guitar with you) or on ebay

Welcome to the forum!

Take a pic or 2 and post them, and we might be able to tell you what it is and if it can be fixed.

Worst case scenario, if you have to buy a full set GuitarFetish.com, has great tuners at budget prices. I have a set of their locking tuners on my Telecaster and have never had a problem with them.

This. Maybe you just need to replaced the broken head if it's the case.
