Reverse polarity???????

The strat I am putting together has the Blackmore pup configuration. single coil bridge single neck 3 way toggle. I have been looking into the APS- 2 RW/RP for my neck position pup. Is it wise to go with a reverse polarity pup for this type of setup?

Re: Reverse polarity???????

Yes. Thats a good idea. It will make the middle position hum-cancelling.

Edit: I should add - it will be humcancelling to the degree that both pups are similar. But from my experience, two pups can be somewhat different (in DC resistance) and still be humcancelling.

Your saying even without a middle pickup in the setup hum can still be present while switching from bridge to neck position?

Re: Reverse polarity???????

Hum will be present with any single-coil. It takes two coils to be hum-cancelling. So if you have two singles, you make one of them RW/RP in order for that position to be noise-free. Each single, when used by itself, will still have hum. (Assuming its there to begin with.)
