Review Of My New Gibson RD Reissue Silverburst

Re: Review Of My New Gibson RD Reissue Silverburst

Whats funny, IIRC (could be way wrong) it seems that back in the day, the Dirty fingers werent very highly regarded. Now, they are using them again, selling them for a healthy cost and advertising them as a triumphant return. Even one of the new Epi prophesy models comes with them...
I guess they are pretty cool then?

Ok, forgive me, but I have to throw this out there. (my inner child)

Honestly, I never play with dirty fingers, I always wash my hands first to conserve string life. LOL

bad joke, sorry..

Re: Review Of My New Gibson RD Reissue Silverburst

looks bad ass jolly, you aint that big :D

11 lbs seems kinda heavy for stage use but for rockin out on the couch, i bet it sounds great!!

Re: Review Of My New Gibson RD Reissue Silverburst

I remember wanting an RD Artist really bad when I was in high school.

Man, those guitars of the week/month are way cooler than Gibson's regular line of guitars. They've had some real winners.

Re: Review Of My New Gibson RD Reissue Silverburst

^ nice hehe I want one real bad right now. I play classical style guitar when Im sitting down - I bet the guitar shape works well for that too...

Totally Bad a$$! If i could justify geting a new guitar that i would ruin the resale value of by putting dents and dings in it, I would be all oevr that like pork on chops.

Re: Review Of My New Gibson RD Reissue Silverburst

Looks like a beast of an axe... a real rock machine! Cool.....

Re: Review Of My New Gibson RD Reissue Silverburst

That's one of the very few odd shaped guitars I like. I'm glad Gibson used a regular LP headstock, rather than one of their cheesy banana types.

The more I look at it, the more I want one. However, I'd sell the stock pickups and put a C5/Jazz or Seths in it. I'd probably choose nickel covered for that guitar too.

Re: Review Of My New Gibson RD Reissue Silverburst

So, JOLLY, it's been almost a year - are you still in love with your RD?

/megl

Re: Review Of My New Gibson RD Reissue Silverburst

That's a cool looking guitar sort of like a combination LP, Explorer with a little Firebird thrown in.

Re: Review Of My New Gibson RD Reissue Silverburst

I remember the origionals a guy I played with back in the early 80's had a black one. Those were really cool guitars I didn't know they had been reissued :bling: :cool2:.

Way too cool Jolly, nice score! I've always loved the looks of those guitars and with the silverburst, it's that much sweeter. :)
