Reviving a speaker surround

Is there anything you can put on an older foam surround that's a little dry but not yet falling apart to put some life back in it?

Rubber cement maybe? It'll damp the highs though...

I'm personally trying to fix a bass speaker. So that might work. Any more suggestions?

Anybody know what that "dope" stuff is that Ted Weber puts on his speakers surrounds?

there are numerous surround replacements available on the net, here is two-

it seems pretty easy to do, if you are careful and have patience
also , just type in replacement speaker surround in a search engine-
