Revolution Guitar - any experience?

I remember gearjoneser talking about them before. I'm ready to order 8 ECC83S JJ/Tesla preamp tubes, but I don't know if they match them all. I saw in my Triamp manual that the amp does not need biasing if the power tubes and preamp tubes are all matched.

Anybody care to comment on the quality of their tubes?

I'm eager for a new set in my Triamp, already won an auction for matched winged c svetlana el34s :14:. Time to tear out those old Ruby tubes, previous owner left in the stock tubes so that could have been 4-8 years ago :D

Yeah, Todd the owner is a buddy of mine.
Todd is supercool and has devoted his life to launching his
Ebay store revolutionguitar.com. He has an appointment only
location in W. Los Angeles near Venice/Overland, where he also
has an excellent luthier on site. Both Todd and I are serious
tube amp fans. He's lucky enough to hang out with people like
Aspen Pitman from GT and even distributes GT products, as well
as Svetlana, Tesla, EI, Jensen, Rat, Keeley modded Boss's,
Fargen and Krank amps.

I buy all my tubes from him, and he even throws me freebies occasionally like the GT tube amp book and colored jewel lights.

He has an awesome guitar and amp collection as well.
Some of my favorite toys of his are....
his vintage Marshall JMP collection
Jubilee
Bluesbreaker
Fender Super Champ with original footswitch
several Mesa Subways (his practice rigs)
Demeter rack gear (he has two TGA3 preamps)
Gibson LP with Holmes pups
Martin HD-28
strats
all his custom guitars built by renowned luthiers.

Yep, Todd is a serious gear junkie. He stands behind everything he sells, too. He pays his distributor extra for perfectly matched sets, so you have nothing to worry about by ordering from him.
He's cheaper than everyone else, too. And ships quick!

I buy em from him too, great service, low price, quick as hell shipping!!

He's a great guy to deal with, really a gentleman... Fast shipping, great prices... I dealt twice with him and would greatly recommend him!

He really is a true gentleman. The man personally e-mailed me after my order thanking me for my purchase. Anyone who takes time out to do that deserves a high amount of respect. If everything Gearjoneser says is true, then he certainly knows his gear and stands by what he sells. I have a feeling I'll be sticking with him as long as possible ;)

That's in your best interest...;)

Revolution Guitar

Hi All, Well it does my heart good to see these nice postings written about Revolution Guitar.

Here's the deal at Revolution Guitar- I'm just a player who's into gear like so many of you. I started the website and my ebay store just because I like working with musicians, I'm fairly knowledgeable about good gear, and I get to play around on my les paul or strat in between emails or going to the post office. I keep a simple warehouse in LA, so my overhead is low, this helps me keep the prices down. Most items are shipped same day as I receive payment, I really stay on top of that, I know I like to get my purchases fast, I figure you do too.

I've met some great people and some really amazing players through Revolution Guitar. If I can be of any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I had really great service from Revolution Guitar as well. Will definitely buy more things from them, as well as recommend them to anyone.

EDIT: Just wish they had a little wider selection though... :(

Re: Revolution Guitar - any experience?

I haven't had one problem with any of the great quality, matched tubes
he's sold me. Todd's even turned me onto some that I wouldn't have picked,
but turned out to be great, like the EI pre tubes. On some of the other threads, I heard people talking about supporting smaller business, and paying
a few extra dollars. With revolutionguitar.com, you're actually paying less,
getting perfect product, AND supporting a fellow musician.
If you're looking to retube your amp, or need Jensen speakers, or other of the many useful products he sells, you can't go wrong. You don't have to wait
for a large company's paperwork to be processed, your purchase is an Email
and 2 Day Priority Mail away!
