I know a lot of you guys like using NOS RFT's here, here are some of the dirt cheap slightly used ones you can get from ebay that I was talking about:

I don't know about buying used tubes off ebay. I bought some mullard 12AX7's from a jackass in Hawaii a few years ago, supposedly tested strong and all that. The idiot never plugged them into an amp to see how noisy they were and the idiot buyer (me) never thought to ask.

I'll never buy another used tube off the 'bay.

Yeah, I've had the one microphonic tube out of buying loads from eBay, but you can't really complain I guess if they say up front that they don't know whether it is or not. I agree that the risk is half the fun too Marcel. And if they're going cheap, the potential reward is more than worth the risk.
