No way a yellow RG550 came with hot pink humbuckers stock just didnt happen. Somewhere along the line those puppies got swapped.
RG550's came stock with Ibanez V1's and V2's which were made in house by Ibanez and are generally regarded as "meh" sounding.
RG750's 760's and 770's came with IBZ USA F2 and F4 pickups. THESE pickups were designed by Ibanez and manufactured by Dimarzio. They are not Dimarzio super distortions or any other from the DMZ line.
My 2 main gigging guitars for a lot of years were a pair of identical RG750's I actually swapped from the F2's to Dmz Super D's... not the same pickup at all and in reality a TON better in those guitars.
Well mine did, I've had it since 91. Hot pink Dimarzios, and the knobs are also pink, not black like others I've seen. Looks just like a JEM minus the monkey grip and pyramid inlays on the neck..

Pics or it didnt happen and i mean pics of unmolested solder joints, what your talking about didnt leave an ibanez factory maybe the dealer did it but not ibanez
Sorry for the crap pics, you can sorta make out Dimarzio stamped on there.
Damn this thing was grimey but guess I haven't touched it since like 96 hah.
