Now That you mention it, Is Maple Glo the only standard Ric finish that comes in Satin? Maybe Jetglo?

I would not like that. Does it feel a bit sticky at all to you? That's how It looks, I didn't plan on buying a Ric now, dam I like the way they look too ...

Weird -neither of my RIcs are shiny anymore on the fretboard -One is a 1981 and one is 2018 -You Gotta play them more!

Feels slick, not sticky. The same as a Fender Strat fretboard. Doesn't bother me. Makes it easier to move around the neck, for me.

That's probably fair. They aren't my #1 players. I tend to use them most for composition. They are very comfortable to just sit on the couch and play for hours. But gigging, they are a bit finicky with weather/temperature and general playability/staying in tune, for me.

Gawd. That bass sounds GOOD.

I had a 4001 bass that I thought was the absolute best sounding bass of all time. I've got a Jazz that sounds pretty awesome, but nothing sounds exactly like a Ric.

Yes, but I like satin finishes on everything.
BTW, the finish on the boards aren't any stickier than a maple board with a finish on it. My fingers never really touch the board anyway- it is more of a look thing to me.
