Rid's laidbackblues in Gm meets Brobucker

Maybe one day I'll take recording seriously. Nah, probably not.;) This also is what happens when you don't play but about 6 times in the last month or so.:chairfall Still, it was fun to do.

Thanks to Rid for the fabulous backing track.

All guitars are my fault. I violated a recording rule :27: (so sue me;) ). All guitar tracks used the Brobucker in the bridge position. All amp models are Vox AC30. For the clean? fills in the first half, the bass was rolled back slightly and the treble boosted slightly. Otherwise, the same model, same tone settings.:laugh2:

Yes, the lead in the first half is mixed soft...intentionally. I wanted to focus on the rhythym.

Here it is!

I can't shake the feeling that someone is watching me....

Thanks for the compliments, guys.

But feel free to critique. I guess if I'm going to improve my recordings, I'll have to be willing to take the blows as they come.:D

nice job stephen
i liked the tone of that pup a lot! - makes me kick myself for not getting in on it

overall it is a really cool tune .. only minor critiques i can point out is to be careful on the pitch of some of the bent notes ... and there were a couple of clashing notes in the minor pentatonic scale you were using against the change ... but mostly it sat nice in the pocket and moved right along
cheers

Thanks, Bill. I figured you'd catch those "notes."

Are you saying I got "pitchy" at times? :laugh2:

Well, now that I've heard it in a Parker, I can honestly say I've heard it in NEARLY every type of guitar and it really sounds at home in all of them. Good work, bro.

Yes, I'm really digging this pickup. I'm glad I had it built.

Re: Rid's laidbackblues in Gm meets Brobucker

I'm somewhat surprised that no one commented on the guitar "noise" at the end of the track. That was spontaneous and unprecedented from moi. I don't usually go for such things, so I don't even know how to do it. But I did.:smack:
