I'm glad the voting is anonymous, because I know I would feel obligated to start an argument with anyone who rated this below a 3.

This is one riff where the voting and I are in near-total disagreement.

I had the most difficulty with this one. My first impression was to rate it slightly below average, but I waited, came back and looped it more. It's one of those weird, quirky things. Weird and quirky, yes. Song supporting riff? I don't know. But that's my lack of creativity showing... Now I really want to know where it's going and what the goal of it is.

I ended up taking creativity and uniqueness into account and rated it appropriately high.

The spooky vibe is realy cool. I envision someone lost in the dark and continually bumping into things. Very original! Unlike Tor, though, I feel like riffs should start, repeat, and then stop ... without actual intros or endings.

Yeah. I actually just worded myself wrong - I mostly agree with you.

There are some contributions here that have intros and endings. I'm cool with that though, but I will only consider the main riff for these contributions. This is not an exception. I just wanted to add that the ending was cool as well (because it was), but rest assured, that was not a part of my assessment that led to my voting. :)

I see that intros and endings might subconsciously affect my opinion, but I try to have faith in myself that I am cool and rational. ;)

It's interesting but I could not listen to a song being driven by it. Riff? Questionable based on peoples criteria. Is it showcasing anything particular, i don't feel anything. Does it have a certain vibe, well of couse but that didn't figure enough into my scoring to give it a high score.

If this was a contest of original music, I score it higher, but as a riff, I scored it lower.
