Well of course. When you have a PA that has tens of thousands of watts and god only knows how many speakers, you can use a half watt amp and still be fine. But when you have no PA, especially for that kind of music, you need more.

Also, Kim isn't exactly using small amps.

Final point - as much as I love Soundgarden, watching an hour long rig rundown is not my idea of fun.

Yeah, plus I already know what Kim uses and don't have an interest in Chis' guitar gear at all.

I have been a Soundgarden fan since th every 1st day i heard them.
I actually remember that very "i see the light" day !

Not many bands in my life time has done that for me . . .

Not many bands in my life time has done that for me . . .

Definitely my top 5 band as well! I've been a fan since Screaming Life came out in '87. Hiro was their original bass player. I've actually met the band in person a few times specially Kim. I'm from Seattle so it's not a biggie to bump into these guys every so often. The BEST show I've seen them live was at the Paramount Theater in the mid 90's...holy crap! I was devastated when they broke up in '97. But hell froze over and here they are!!! Better than ever and kicking azz again! :headbang:

The new album is slooow'ly growing on me . . .



. . . i think i expected (hope for, more likely) more of a Superunknown style album.

did you like the "down on the upside" album? I found similarities between that album and the new album. Ten years ago I got "down on the upside" and really dug the harmonic arrangements ever since. A lot more musical to my ears then the formulaic straightforward Audioslave stuff.

a new band on Spotify that I found is called Orchid, you might dig them. They are like Sheavy and the Almighty Sabbath. I like their song:

I copied the amp settings in the video and dialled them into my Recto and Electra Dyne. The results were massive.
