Righteousness!

LesStrat

Reining PunLowered
First song on our band's page at the mo'. Check it out.

It's a pretty straightforward rock song with an extended outro vamp.

Plinky Linky

The rhythm track is LesStrat (CR in mid-position) through the Celtic Franklin. Outro leads are the Fly Deluxe with the Brobucker bridge pickup.

Re: Righteousness!

The song is great!
Your rythm tone sucks more than ever tho :D
It's too quiet ,too much buzz ,no definition..
The outro tone is gorgeous !Nice wet stuff!

Your playing is cool..But you know that!

Re: Righteousness!

We had a "listening" session Friday night, and one of the recommendations was to bring up the guitar track. We'll see. I don't control the final mix.

BTW, the middle section of the lead is the Weeping Demon.

Re: Righteousness!

Your singer's voice reminds me of Peter Rivera's from Rare Earth. I think that's who I'm thinking of anyway.

Re: Righteousness!

I like the track a lot. The rhythm tone is a bit too fuzzy for my tastes...I wouldn't turn it up, tho. It might be a good idea to cut annother track that's way cleaner, maybe just a touch of OD, then blend them for a more defined tone that still rocks out with the fuzz. Nice track anyway.

Re: Righteousness!

Unlikely. We are pretty much past recording.

Not a bad suggestion, but I don't think it will happen.

Besides, the composer likes that type of tone.

BTW, are ya'll referring to the entire rhythm track or just the main part of the song?

Re: Righteousness!

The basic tone of the rhythm track...tad muddy along with the fuzz...maybe take out some of the low-mids in the mixdown?

Re: Righteousness!

:D

No fuzz on that track. It's the amp and LesStrat. Of course I was having a minor problem with the amp at that time that led to some "fuzziness."

Re: Righteousness!

It's not a bad tone by any stretch...it's just fuzzy for my tastes. You can tell me to forget about it if it's what you really like. I'd just take out some lows to let it shine a bit more.

Re: Righteousness!

I'm not disagreeing; just pointing out how it occurred.

The lows are probably LesStrat earning his name.

Re: Righteousness!

good work, I agree with what has already been said ....too much fuzz and not enough definition in the notes. Keep on rockin....sent freind request...

Chris

Re: Righteousness!

BTW, I do not own or use a fuzz pedal.

I suppose this would be a good place to break the news that the leads are all on the POD XTL. I did use a Weeping Demon Wah in the front of it, though.

Re: Righteousness!

What all gear does yall's bass player use? He's got a super fat punchy tone. Or did he go direct?
