RIO BBQ compared to the Dimarzio TZ

I played an Peavey EVH that sounded pretty good and Dimarzio says the closest model is the TZ which seems to gather much debate as to mud versus tone.
I am not saying the BBQ is muddy, but it is the warmest and loudest PAF style pickup I have heard so I use that as a reference point. Can anyone who has owned both of these at some point compare them tonally with regards to mids, presence, etc?
