Rio Grande question

I've heard lots of good things about the Rio Grande Texas and BBQ pickups!
Some guys knew I'm going to swap the stock pups of my custom24 with the APH I+CC.
I'm wanting a thick, rich and creamy drive. Could you guys compare these two sets? Thanks so much!

A set of Rios came in a guitar I recently bought, and I personally found them to be a bit dark and dull sounding. However, the guitar itself is pretty strong in the low mids, so maybe the two were just a bad match for one another. Many people swear by these pickups and love the hell out of 'em. If you have a somewhat bright sounding guitar the Rios could work well for you.
