The studio version Child in Time being played with the 335 is generally accepted gospel.

In general, you would be surprised how much equipment is being used that isn't normally associated with a specific artist once they hit a studio that has a good collection, or where hired guns happen to drag their axes in and out.

Studio albums need to be more diverse than live play and the producers can get very edgy when an instrumentalist insists on making everything sound the same.

Agreed...I mentioned earlier on in this post that studio eq in itself would have alot to do with the overall tone we hear..
