it's called a "Chubster." you can afford to take a chance. If I had piles of cash, I would get it for that reason alone, never having heard of such a product name before. I would love to tell people if they asked me about my gear, "Yup. Playing thru a Chubster right now." That would be the coooolest thing to say.
don't think you can go wrong with Rivera anyway.

actually, it's not for me. i have enough gear already... well except for that malmsteen strat and jackson sl2h i've been eying. a guy from work likes to play jazz and stuff, so i was digging around for some amps to show him. that rivera seemed to fit the bill. the sound sample was awesome, so i thought i'd see what you guys think.

I have no idea what a new Chubster goes for but I like those amps a lot. A few years ago I was looking for a "Rake" head which has a fairly classic voicing & had been discontinued for a while... I liked the Chubster a lot & was going to have them build me a head version when I found a NOS Rake Reverb that a dealer wanted to liquidate.
For a jazz or jazz/fusion cat, yeah... Chubster would be great. It'll cover all those tones with ease & do the heavy rock thing as well. I know a guy playing in a Steely Dan band around these parts and he's got a Chubster...

In a similar fashion, I've always wanted a Fargen amp. Or perhaps a Fuchs. Not so interested in a Koch, though.
I don't know how Ben Fargen resisted calling his amp models things like 'unbelievable' and 'unreal'...

honestly, the new fender Jazz ultralight amp is AMAZING sounding, I'd definitely say look into one of those..
Great for jazz, very lightweight and portable.
