Rivera Pubster 45

Re: Rivera Pubster 45

I can tell you that I have been interested in Riveras also .... particularly the Pubster. Does that help?

Re: Rivera Pubster 45

Who?

Are Riveras high end?

The thing that scares me about them is that the high gain clips I've heard are very noisy between notes ..... like you said the Jet City wasn't.

Re: Rivera Pubster 45

I thought Riveras were pretty expensive. At least the K-Tre is/was. Sorry, I don't even know any dealers. I had a thing for the Fandango at one point, but I never even got to see it, much less play it.

Re: Rivera Pubster 45

I revisited the site today and realized it is actually the Chubster 40 that really interests me. Have you read any HC reviews?

I read reviews of the Chubster, Clubster, Pubster, Quiana, Fandango and KTre. Rivera seems really solid. I'm gassing for a Rivera right now.

Why are you buying or shopping for a new high-end amplifier every week?

What are you talking about? I think you got me mixed up with someone else. Aren't you the one who just got a new Soldano?

Rivera's are solid amps but they're hard on tubes. I think Rivera runs higher voltages to the tubes.

Re: Rivera Pubster 45

Based on threads you've started recently, I thought you had a new Engl, a new JSX, and a new Fender. I also thought you got rid of a Mesa recently. I just wonder why you haven't said, "This is what I'm looking for. Can you help me find it?" The answer from me is probably, "No," but there are guys here who do know, I think.

You can do whatever you want, and I like reading about your new amps. I just wonder what it is that's lacking in your tone. And yes, I did just get a new Jet City (designed by Soldano, but not SLO quality). And it's got to be the best value for the money out there right now.
