Robb (Gomano) with Greg Serrato: Voodoo Chile Live

Re: Robb (Gomano) with Greg Serrato: Voodoo Chile Live

Cool Jam,

Tough to fit two guitars in that one. Some really nice moments.

I love hearing this live stuff!!

Very cool! Excellent sound quality, too. There's nothing better than rock from that era - you guys really pulled it off!

Yeah dudes!

This is from a new album called "Greg Serrato - Live At The Coachhouse" which just came out this week. Greg used to play with Bil Lordan - the drummer from Robin Trower's band. They did a few records together.

This tune & album is already charting in Europe and in my opinion, thw album itself is one of the best guitar albums I've heard in my life. Greg Serrato is very much like SRV, but has his own style & sound, and tears it up man. This is his 9th album, and he's very famous in blues circles and will be touring this Summer. He wanted me to put up "Voodoo Chile" so you could get an idea of his playing, and how he smokes his bro on the other guitar :-)

Thanks for checking it out!

Robb

Was this recorded at the show that Robin and I attended when we met you and the family?

Greg is the Strat / SRV-ish tone & Vocals (he starts the tune too) - I'm panned off to the right (or left depending if you wired your speakers right:-) with the phaser-sound guitar - I do the first solo, some in the middle, and then at the end w/ Greg.

His guitar tone is excellent & very prominent. He played a Strat thru that new Marshall - oh man - I forget what it's called - it's a hybrid tube / SS amp - 300 watts - louder than crap. V-Four? Something like that.

I played thru a Vetta

That's it! That's what Greg was playing through - I thought it sounded great.

Yeah, the Mode Four is a great amp, but i didn't like it.... i couldnt get those really singing poweramp tones.... but that is understandable for it beeing a hybrid ;)

Really nice clip Robb! Sweet playing!

I thought that Marshall sounded very "tube-ish" when I heard it. I'm even thinking about getting one!
