Blasphemer!!! Heretic!!!

My new avatar is from one of the greatest NES games ever made - River City Ransom. :D

Even if it's for real, there's not that much mojo in the universe. :1:

Re: Robert Johnson's guitar for sale: $6,000,000

Because it is an over priced replica...

Now the real Frankenstrat would bring far more than $25k.

I shudder to think what the actual Frankie would fetch.. Id rather have the 5150 tho.

Im embarassed to say that Ive never heard any original Robert Johnson music. Are they still in print? Ive heard remakes.

I bought the complete CD set a few years ago. I think evereything we know of that he recorded is on that CD. There are only 2 or 3 sessions ever recorded. I found mine at Best Buy ... so they're pretty easy to find.

If you pick that box set up, and are unfamiliar with 20's and 30's blues- listen to it for what it is. Don't expect it to be like "the blues" like Clapton.

Re: Robert Johnson's guitar for sale: $6,000,000

Yeah ... it's pretty raw ... I guy with an old acoustic ... probably bad strings ... recording straight into one of the early recorders. For me, it is more like a history lesson. I can't listen to much of it in one sitting ... due to the quality ... respectful of the man/music though.

Re: Robert Johnson's guitar for sale: $6,000,000

just get yourself the Gibson Robert Johnson L-1.. it's a really cool guitar.. has a really fully, bassy tone for such a small body
