Rock/Metal Distortion Pedal?

Re: Rock/Metal Distortion Pedal?

It's only 150 bucks. Gonna give em a call in the morning and see if it's still there.

Do it!

Even a Budget tube amp will sound better than any pedal into that cube amp. Add some pedals to that Valve King in the future, and you'll wonder how you ever lived with an MT-2 into a SS amp. Then next thing you know, you'll be selling your grandma's t.v. to buy a JCM800 and a 1960TV cab, finding yourself living under a bridge, asking yourself "what happened to my life?" You'll quickly answer to yourself with a smirk "Kick ass tone, thats what happened" then you'll throw the horns at the nearest on looker, and ask for change for bus fare. But they don't know, you ain't gonna be riding the bus.

I guess someone already picked it up and they didn't take down the ad. :(

Re: Rock/Metal Distortion Pedal?

There are a lot of great pedals on the market right now. I really like Guyatone because they make great pedals but still priced affordably. I have a Micro Hot Drive which has 3 settings. One is kind of a regular tube screamer type distortion but with a lot more gain available, the second is kind of a Marshall type distortion, and the third is a fuzzy distortion. This pedal has lots of gain and output but I never have to put the gain past 10:00 to get what I need. It feels just like a warm tube amp. It doesn't get muddy. Check it out.

Re: Rock/Metal Distortion Pedal?

Depending on what tone I'd go Wampler Pedals there is both high gain marshall (super plextortion) or EVH (Pinnacle) or Rectifier (Triple Wreck) that said they are best used with a good tube amp at high volumes so like others said maybe a better amp is worth saving for. A modded ds-1 is pretty good until you can afford some good pedals and amps.
