ROCK NO. 7 Jam

TwilightOdyssey

Darkness on the edge of Tone
Here's a funny little jam I just made with my Boss DR-3 drum machine. It's Preset #27, which is called 'Rock 7', hence the name of this track! :D

The background is very basic, so I just follow it for the verses. For the chorus, I try to take it to a slightly different sonic space with the Middle Eastern scales ... The solo starts off really rough but has a couple of nice spots. This was my second pass at the solo, but since this is just for fun, I opted to keep it instead of going over and over until it was perfected. Due to the stupidity of the backing track, I prefered a more raw solo.

This was tracked with my snakeskin Wayne and Korg PXR4; setting was "2001" with no alterations made. There are 1-7 guitar tracks depending on which part of the song you happen to be at.

Nice,,
What mode is that?
The verse riff is simple Am pentatonic, but it starts and ends on E.
The chorus is in E Phrygian, but with a raised 3rd and no 7th:
E - F - G# - A - B - C
A Hexatonic scale?! lol :D
