Rocky Mountian Way

My Band did a little Talent show last month... some video was shot of it and one of the guys is going to edit a multi camera dvdr out of it... but so far all we have is a drummer cam clip of our last song...

you can't see me at all but i'm the extra loud lead guitar... i used my TSL-100 on the green channel into my Marshall 1912 1x12 cab... a 1988 American Standard strat with a JB... and once in a while i clicked on a Vox Satchuator for sustian in solos...

our version of this is more roughly based on Triumphs version of the song but in fact we are just jamming on it... i'm making as much noise on my guitar when i can... LOL

That's such a fun song to do! Great job bro! Looks like it would have been super fun.

thanks B Bent.... i want to hear the other tunes we did as i think we did rather well except the first tune... my co-guitarist is a true novice and he hit the headstock of his LP Copy seconds before we started and was baddly out of tune... ha ha ha... but after the first tune it went well...

dam... just found out a multi Camera dvdr of this little talent show is not going to happen... turns out the other cameras except this one on the drummer all had digital tape issues... old stuff i guess... I'm going to rip the Audio from this drum camera and store it in my history collection of odds and ends of various band stuff i have... too bad no real dvd... it went well that night we played..

good news is we now have 7 new HD Digital Cameras for the fall show

Ha ha, it took me a minute to realise it was the drummer singing! He sounds good, and so do the rest of you! Nice version of that I like it. :)

I'd just make a fashion statement though - that other guitarist of yours, tell him not to tuck his T shirt into his jeans. That's an old man thing. ;)

Nice lead break at the end BTW.

Thanks... LOL we are getting older... the bass player is 55 and my co-guitarist will be 50 in a few years... me and the drummer are the babies.... i'm just hitting 40 this year... those t-shirts we had on were kind of a cool and funny joke in a way... we all have crazy fake names at work and the drummer made up some iron ons with our slang names on them... they were bought at a dollar store and he ironed the names on the chest like a name badge but used the fonts from some of our favourite bands... mine was the VH logo but with my work name "couch" which is quite a silly story how i got that name in itself... we just wore them for the show and took them off right after...

our co-guitarist is just a buddy i work with... he was just a 3 chord player and 've been working with him and teaching him stuff when i can... he has come a long way and the first time in his life he played in front of people was just over a year ago... can't believe we got him thru it with out him having a nervous break down... now he looks forward to these talent shows...

even funnier is the drummer is really more a guitarist but does quite well as a drummer... as is the bass player... they just switched to play as a band i guess... one of these shows we plan to trade instruments around for each song
