rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

He is going downhill fast....or is it just me? Honestly he doesn't look like he is doing good.

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

He sounded like he was really drunk or something.

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

The guitar looks half Dime half SG though.........Is Zakk jumping ship to dean? I know he was given a special Dime model from Dean himself that is not the guitar though.

i was just asking ! why dont you sell one in order to get a cab ? i would prefer to have a ministack than to have just a head with no sound!

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

I thought that sounded really...bad. Not even the tone, I mean...the playing was just full of bull**** licks and sounded incredibly unmusical.

Alcohol is no excuse...especially for Zakk.

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

Zakk is a hellava player when he is on his game, but the whole BLS, binge drinking, SDMF, pinch harmonic thing is getting reaalllly old.

And tone, or should I say lack thereof!!!!

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

I'm a monster Zakk fan (or was) and he really needs to switch it up. I think going from Ozzy to P&G to Book of Shadows to BLS made him keep things fresh, but it's getting stale now. THe drunk barbarian is a stupid stage front, especially if it's transferred into his everyday life.

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

I read about Zakk and really wanted to like him long before I finally heard him. (I led a sheltered life for a while) I got the OZZY Live @ Budokan DVD thinking 'wow this'll be great I get to watch Zakk be the Baddass That he is!' It was definately a fun DVD to watch, and Zakk is definately really good, but his playing just grinds my nerves (and not in a cool 'metal' way). One thing I will say to his credit is that his solo in "I Don't Wanna Change The World" is absolutely fantastic!!! Why? Because he plays major penatoic licks, double stops, and no freakin pinch harmonics!

Yep...But....Lets not forget the spitting onstage. I mean, give me a F'n break already!

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

he is definitely drunk. and irregardless, the tone was $hit. inarticulate and no soul.

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

"Ociffer... I swear to drunk I'm not god."

~Zakk Wylde

Ok, I lied. He never said that.

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

Zakk is just a mess now. I would much rather remember him in his early 90's period.

What ever happened to that nice young man.

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

I could barley hear the difference in his tone on star spangled banner(on guitar world cd). To me it doesnt look like Zakk's doing too bad, maybe overdoing the tough guy image.

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

Uhm...to me that sounds alot better than any tone hes ever had with Ozzy or the very little BLS stuff I've heard.

For a $250 practice amp, it sounds pretty damn good to me. This ain't supposed to be a PLexi folks  :laugh2:

The ONLY time I've ever heard Zakk get a good tone (to my ears) was on a Guitar World CD put out about 15 years ago. He had a song/instrumental on there called "farm fiddlin", which had some moments of brilliance from him but the tone was excellent. He used an old JMP 2x12 Marshall combo with a goose...very basic/classic marshall tone. sounded great.

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

Zakk Wylde is overdoing everything...hair, beard, muscles, beer, notes, pinch harmonics, beer, pinch harmonics, spitting, alchohol, leather vests, pinch harmonics, custom guitars, notes, beer, spitting, pinch harmonics, notes, leather....okay, so he's not the most complicated guy.
