rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

Re: rofl, watch Zakk Wylde play a Marshall MG15 mini stack

I have two favourite solos. One of them is "Dread and the Fugitive Mind"... the other? Harvester of Pain

I watched the video and I'm not quite sure what to think. I couldn't play what he just played in a million years, but I don't think I'd want to. It wasn't very musical and the tone was what I'd expect from an amp in that price range. Personally I wish he stick to acoustic stuff, that's where he shines IMO. :smokin:

nice work ,good tone ,cool playing ....for a 12 year old ZW fan!!!!
And that is what Marshall wanted.
I never liked him personally , and i hate his tone..I like his harmonics in early ozzy days.
But he is wasted...it is sad

Did you have to put up curtains again tonite?? :laugh2:
:laugh2: No. We're done with that for now. Just tired of the Zakk bashing. The man makes more money than any of us and he has the best gig you could want as a metal player (playing for Ozzy AND having his own band). Everybody expects him to always pull off a miracle when he picks up the guitar. He's just jamming for jamming's sake.

I think you guys are missing the context of it a bit. Marshall probably said "just go ahead and play some fast licks". In a situation like that you're not expected to break out into the most melodic piece of music ever, you're supposed to make 13 year old kids want to buy an amp that will make them think they can shred like Zakk Wylde.

I do think his playing is boring, but I wouldn't cite that video as an example as it's not supposed to be interesting in that video.

I don't know...I am not a huge Zakk fan myself, but I thought the playing was certainly spirited, and not sloppy or poor.

****, I'll take chops like that anyday, people.

The little Marshall sounded good to me, not a vintage Plexi...but nice tone for something like that.

The only thing that sucked was the hideous abomination of a "fiddle" he was playing. I wouldn't use that monstrosity to stoke my fireplace.

I agree 100%.

He looks like he's thinking: ''f*kin piece of cr@p, why do I get myself into these stupid endorsement deals?'' :fingersx:
