Roland Cube 20X Bright Cap

I Love this amp,but I always felt the overdrive/distortion side of this amp could use a bit more brightness at lower volume levels....Today I stuck a 47 pf.mica cap right across the volume control and it did the trick...I'm pretty sure the Cube 15X has the same basic preamp also? Some little projects I've been getting around to..Right now I'm repairing a Realistic receiver from 1987 model year..

dang, that blows my mind you could improve on a design from a company like roland with likely numerous professional engineers working on an amp circuit.

Naah....Easy mod...Just a small value capacitor across 2 legs of the volume pot..Otherwise I Love the amp as is...Sounds killer through a 2x12 or 4x12 cab also.

Oh and that was the earlier mod...Installed a jack and a plug at the back of the amp,so I can run it into the other cabs at 4 ohms.
