hey i love jackson guitars but i have never owned them i played them at guitar center. i saw the rr5 on the web i think it a sweet looking guitar. like is it a good guitar? is this guitar worth the money? the only thing i dont like bout it i dont like the pickups. i would put in a jazz in the neck and an invader or dd in the bridge. mark

Re: rr5

lets see.. neck through.. two JB's, string through, compound radious, good fer riffing and soloing alike (but might need some getting used to)

i say GO FOR IT!! awesome axe
i just wish they had a RR5 with a floyd. i want a neck through damnit.

go for it really. you wont be dissapointed

Re: rr5

starting to save my money right now. does it really matter that it is made in japan? is it any competion to the rr1?

Re: rr5

I'd say that if you don't need or want a Floyd, the RR5 is a killer guitar. Honestly, I wouldn't be able to justify the extra grand to get the RR-1T. If you need a Floyd, however, RR-1 is the way to go.

Don't buy **** at Guitar Center or off MusiciansFriend. Get it from Eastonguitars.com or vwallguitars.com, or mattsmusic.com. They'll hook you up nicely.

Also, you'll love the JB in the neck ;).
