Re: Running 2 heads into 1 cab?
Hi, I have an Egnater Tweaker 15 head and Orange Tiny Terror Head - wanted to see if I could run one head into the other through an Orange PPC112 (16 ohms). Basically want to run both heads into one cab.
Output on TT is 16 ohms, Tweaker is selectable @ 4, 8, 16 ohms.
Should I run the Tweaker speaker out into the TT input, or how/can I do this? I also noticed the PPC12 has two unputs (the TT is currently going into the left input).
Thank you.
Almost sounds like you want to slave the two amps together ("run one head into the other").
Do *not* run any speaker out into the input of anything. Speaker outs must go to an appropriate load; such as a speaker or dummy load.
What you could do is run the Egnater FX Loop "send" to the input of the OTT. This is a line level signal and is safe.
What you would have there is the Egnater's preamp combined with the entire OTT circuit. You would also have more gain/distortion if needed.
From pics on the web, looks like the OTT does not have an FX loop or line out, so nothing you can do there if you want the OTT first in the chain.
However... (read below)

If slaving, one amp needs to be loaded down with a dummy load (such as HotPlate set to "load") and there will need to be a line out tapped to run into the 2nd amp. This line out takes the speaker level signal and converts it to a line level signal which is safe for stompboxes, other amp inputs, etc...
Keep in mind when you combine two amps like this, both amps' circuitry will affect the tone; you may have to set the 2nd amps' eq to
something you normally wouldn't. For example, my 2nd amps eq is set mostly middle of the range for bass and treble.
