running a j-station thru a roland AC-60?

Will running my j-station thru a roland ac-60 acoustic amp be pretty close to same sound as it has thru my headphones? or would a keyboard amp be the best way to go? The sound thru the headphones is like the killler guitar sounds you hear on dokken or ratt's cd's, the harmonics scream and the tones are professional sounding, but when you run it thru a guitar amp even on clean it sounds totally different, nowhere near as good, the harmonics are dead and the tones for lack of a better word suck. is it even possible to get those tones without the headphones?

All you can do is try it...

But, if you really like the sound coming from your headphones, why don't you just run a patch from your headphone out to an aux in on a stereo system?

That's a good idea for at home , but what about when you gonna jam with someone? thanks for your input though.

Not in a million years, J-startions are designed to DI into mixing desks and power amps. People have troube getting them to sound good in guitar amps, so I dont think you'll have any chance getting good tones out of an accoustic amp.

Does your electric guitar amp have an effects loop? You could try running the output of the J-station into the return of the loop. That way you're basically using the J-station as your preamp. You'll want to turn off any cabinet emulation in the J-station if you do this.

Otherwise, yeah, a keyboard amp is gonna be your best bet. That or a PA.

By the way I think it's pretty wild that you're running one of those J-stations in the first place. I completely forgot about those things.

Please see your other thread. There is tons of useful info already in there related to this subject.

Also you didn't need a second thread. You could have posed that question in there too.
