RUNNING THREE OCTAL TUBES ON A VOX LIL' NIGHT TRAIN

I am running a pair of 6SL7s (preamp and phase inverter) and a 6SN7 (power output) on my Vox Lil' Night Train. Not only does it work fine but sounds great. I am not able to use the cover, had to remove all of the tube retainers, had to spin the spring holders 180 degrees, and use three 6SN7 to 12AU7 adapters. (noval to octal)

V1= 6SL7GT, V2=6SL7GT, V3=6SN7GT

what prompted all that?

I am always moved to try alternate ways to affect tone. If I have the means, I'll try it. Octal tubes behave and sound different than noval tubes. New/old discoveries, things that bring my ears joy. I did, of course, make sure that I wouldn't destroy my amp by checking filament draw and I suppose I did take a chance. It sounds pretty damn good.
